Documentary (2014). In World War II: Unheard Memories, Deaf people tell their previously hidden stories about living in wartime Britain in their own language, British Sign Language. After the original two episodes were released, there were six clips of remarkable stories that didn't make it into the final programmes. In this short documentary, about the subject of family, John McLean from Peterhead explains how buying an ice cream got him in trouble; Dennis Anthony from Lancaster tells how he and his family kept safe during the bombings; Gloria Pullen from Bristol tells her story about when a bomb landed while her family were in church. We also see stories from Bernard Hatton from Rochdale and Vera Hunt from Maidenhead.
